Last feed before bed ?
« on: November 16, 2006, 16:31:16 pm »
I am starting to use EASY and have question....During the last hours in the evening, do I contine EASY until bed or should I skip the A after his last feeding? I usually cluster feed for 2 hours before he goes into his crib and put him down right after his last feed? For the past 2 nights he has slept for 6 hours, straight  ;D

Thanks!
Becky

I am wondering too.  I havn't really cluster feed I guess because I would feed then bath then bed and dream feed in 1/2 hour.  is that not right?  should I feed, bath, feed then bed?

Last night, we weren't so lucky  :(  Max woke 4 hours after his last feed and then 3.5 hours later...We fed then talked and took a nap. Perhaps he didn't get enough sleep y'day, during the day/early evening?

Meltdown - the idea of clusterfeeding is feed, bath, feed and then bed, and then dreamfeed later in the night around 10.  HTH's.

Ribbod, can you post your routine for yesterday so that we can have a look at it.

Did he wake from hunger in the night, or do you think it was cause he was overtired?

I don't know, that is what I am trying to figure out ???....He ate for 40 minutes when he woke, so my assumption would be that he was hungry, but he could've been over-tired, as well....Is it necessary for him to nap after every A during the day? Thanks soo much for your help  :)

Yes, it is definitley necessary for him to have a sleep after every A time.  It helps your lo not to get over tired and over stimulated.

Hi Faz,

Welcome to the boards.

A clusterfeed is where you try and tank your lo up before bed, and feed say every 2 hours before bed.  So after the cat nap, try a feed at around 5:30 or so, then bath at 6 and then feed again at 7 before bed, and aim to be in bed by 7:30.
