I think in the UK they recommend a year. However, we did it around the 10 onth mark under the advice of bradleys doctor. At the mo we are in canada and there doesnt seem to be as much of a thing about it. nobody has questioned it.

It is a year in the UK as a main drink, from 6months to cook with.

In this part of Canada its safe to give at 9 months, but safe as a main drink at 1 year.

My dr. had said to introduce it at 1 year but I also began giving dd some whole milk in a sippy cup at 10 months. I wanted to have at least introduced it before I weaned her at one year.  She did great with it.

I'm in Canada, we've been doing a bit of whole milk in a sippy since 10months, he's done fine with it but it is not the main drink

I would check with your peditrician.  We introduced whole milk at 11 months with dd1 as she was no longer taking from the breast.  The dr said it was fine and no reason to start formula for 1 month.

Proud to have breastfed for a combined total of 35 months
