20 month old suddenly asking for milk in day

no doubt this has been raised elsewhere, but i cant find it so here is my question.
My DD is 20 months old and only has 7 teeth.  i think she may be teething, but its hard to tell. She wont let me look. Her appetite has reduced in the last few days and she is out of nowhere asking for milk in the day. This is a completely new thing. She usually has milk in the morning and night and that is it. If she ever sees another child with milk in the day, and she then asks for some i tell her she will have her milk before bed and she is quite happy with that answer. If she is teeething should i give her more milk,, as i dont want her to be hungry? On the other hand will she get into the habit of having more bottles?  I also noticed she is a bit more clingy, wanting more cuddles. There havent been any major changes lately (but a few are coming up - Playgroup starts in a week and im due to have no. 2 in 8 weeks), there is no temp, dribbling.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Does she have the milk in a bottle or a cup... my answer would be to offer it to her in a cup

she has her milk in  a bottle. i am trying to give that up, but as yet not been successful.

So if you give it to her in a cup, you are still fullfilling her request but on your terms. She will put up a protest, I'm sure, but it gets you closer to your goal.

I agree with Kate. Offer the milk in a cup.
