Our first EASY day...
« on: January 11, 2007, 18:42:04 pm »
Wasn't so tough... but could have (obviously) done better.  We fed on time with no troubles. We had already been doing an "A" after the "E", so that was ok too.  The "S" could have gone better, she was quite tough to settle for pretty much every nap, but with a bit of coaxing (and a dummy) she managed to sleep (hopefully enough). We're just coming up to the 8 pm cluster, and i'm doubtful she'll go down nicely afterwards... But on the whole a good day.  What do you reckon?  Any tips on the sleep, or it will just come on its own with time?

Hi Niki!

Amber is only 5 weeks old, and for her age she did great!!  ;D ;D ;D Give her 2 or 3 more weeks for the sleep to come easier, which it will if you keep sticking to a routine and reading her sleep cues!

Nikki,

I agree with Beca, sounds like she is doing great at the moment.

Keep going.

With a baby so young, flexibility is your friend. As she grows you want to keep an eye on that dummy - it could go wrong so fast. Right now the sucking reflex is at it's highest and a dummy satisfies that need. Just remember don't plug it back in if she falls fast asleep and drops it without noticing. Happy to hear things are going smoothly!!!   :)
