my 12 month old has suddenly began to fight sleep and hate his crib. he has a lot going on right now (molars coming in, pulling up and trying to walk) and i'm wondering if it's a milestone thing or is it a teething thing. everytime i put him down for a nap he cries and kicks and is very defiant about it. i haven't changed anything from his bedtime/naptime ritual either. he usually gets two naps a day each about 1.5 to 2 hours. one is usually shorter than the other. but now i can only get him to go down once, and he really fights it. is he ready to give up a nap? he still seems so tired though i would think he still needs a morning nap, even if it's just an hour. then i think maybe his teeth really bother him right now. he never acts like this unless he's sick and cannot be comforted. it's so bad now when we walk into his room, even if it's just for a diaper change he screams and kicks. and if we put him in the crib he just pulls up and stands there crying. has this happened to any of you out there when they hit about 12 months? or when they are trying to walk? please help me, i've run out of ideas and all my usual tricks aren't working. i can't even get him to play quietly in his crib like he used to. is this just a phase? *sigh* i could really use a hug...
