waking before the next feeding

I have read lots of people saying to try to hold your baby off from eating when they wake up early from a nap. Let's say the baby is awake for 30 or 45 minutes (or even an hour) before the next feeding and you can't get them back to sleep, then they want to go to sleep only about 15 minutes after the next feeding and the cycle starts again of waking up early before the next feed. How do you handle this dilema and break the cycle when the baby WONT go back to sleep?

You can try to resettle after they wake early if you are unsuccessful get them up for some quiet time before next feed. How long is your baby awake before you put them down for a nap? Perhaps you need to extend awake time a little to get that slightly longer nap.
