We occasionally give Tyler Tuna Fish in a sandwich.  Maybe once a month.  Not because we are trying to be careful, we just don't eat it very much.  I think anything is moderation is fine.

I have given Maja some tuna already, she didn't really like it but had no skin or whatever allergy related problems after it so I plan to give it to her again in some time. I guess it's rather healthy and as PP has said, moderation is fine so as long as you don't start feeding your DS tuna and nothing but tuna all of a sudden, it's perfectly ok.

Exactly like others have said, it's all about moderation. Marisa will eat a bit of tuna noodle casserole 1-2 times a month and maybe take a bite of Daddy's tuna sandwich once in a blue moon. I'd probably let her have it up to once a week if she really liked it. And like Stacy mentioned, chunk light tuna has less mercury than solid white.

This site has a good printable PDF that talks about what fish have the most mercury and how often it's safe for both children and adults to eat it.

Our DS loves his Tuna Pasta Bake - it is one of his favourite meals - We probably have it about 3 times a month.

I agree things in moderation.
