Getting my one month old to fall asleep on her own...
« on: January 31, 2007, 15:10:33 pm »
I really can't complain, my one month old sleeps in her crib and can sleep from 12:30 until 5:30 or 6:30...The only problem is that my husband has become the calmer at 12:00...He needs to swaddle shoosh and rock her to sleep...It is difficult for me because she just wants my breast to pacify her and I don't want to get her into that habit...Is it o.k. that we do this? Is there something else we can try...I feel bad for my husband because he has to work in the morning...

Hi kkonecny

I wouldn't rock her to sleep because that will become a prop & you'll end up doing it for hours to get her to sleep. Have you tried Tracy's pat/ssshhh method.  It really works.  Heres a link on how to do it.
