Won't drink from a sippy cup
« on: February 14, 2007, 20:15:48 pm »
My DD is 9 months old, and we have been using a sippy cup on and off since 6 months. Recently she has flat out refused to use a sippy cup for any thing but a chew toy. Is there any way to get her to accept the sippy so we can begin weaning the bottle?

i don't remember if you are in north america or not... we used the Nuby sippy cup to get luke off the bottle.  they are a sippy cup, but they have a soft spout like a bottle nipple.  they are rather inexpensive as well.

Yeah the nuby soft spout is really good.  Also your little one is only 9.5 months so you have lots of time to make the switch too, just keep offering and remain consistent.

She may just be gearing up for a new tooth, but I would recommend the Nubys too.  We used take-n-toss for awhile when she was getting the hang of it, then switched to Nuby.

Thanks guys. Yeah, we have been doing quite a bit of teething over the last couple of months. She chews everything! Teething is a cruel joke on motherhood!
