He broke the cot!!!!
« on: March 12, 2007, 13:00:37 pm »
DH has been keen to move DD into a bed for some time now and I have been stalling on the idea even though there has been a bed in her room for 3 months!

I am scared to move on this as at last DD is independently sleeping for 11 hours a night thanks to all the lovely help from this site and I don't want her to lose this. Also she is my baby and this a a big grown up step.

Anyway yesterday he forced my hand my breaking the cot. I don't know what he did but the side keeps falling down spontaneously!!! Honestly the lengths a man will go to, to get his own way.  ;) :)

Since this episode of devious and underhand  behaviour DD went down for her nap yesterday and today with no problems.  However night time took 1 1/2 hours of returning her to the bed by DH,before I went and tucked her in as she was asking for "Mummy to come and get her sleep".  Also she has asked for her night light on wh/ usually she prefers off.

So that's it then, DD is all grown up. Just potty training to go and I'll no longer have my wee baby any more. I will just have to pull myself together and make sure we do this properly now we have embarked upon it to preserve the night time sleep. Wish me luck! :)

I hope all goes well.  I am not eager to move Alex to a bed yet and would go and buy a new cot if DH broke it!!!  Good Luck
