DH has been keen to move DD into a bed for some time now and I have been stalling on the idea even though there has been a bed in her room for 3 months!
I am scared to move on this as at last DD is independently sleeping for 11 hours a night thanks to all the lovely help from this site and I don't want her to lose this. Also she is my baby and this a a big grown up step.
Anyway yesterday he forced my hand my breaking the cot. I don't know what he did but the side keeps falling down spontaneously!!! Honestly the lengths a man will go to, to get his own way.
Since this episode of devious and underhand behaviour DD went down for her nap yesterday and today with no problems. However night time took 1 1/2 hours of returning her to the bed by DH,before I went and tucked her in as she was asking for "Mummy to come and get her sleep". Also she has asked for her night light on wh/ usually she prefers off.
So that's it then, DD is all grown up. Just potty training to go and I'll no longer have my wee baby any more. I will just have to pull myself together and make sure we do this properly now we have embarked upon it to preserve the night time sleep. Wish me luck!
