DD of 16 months has suddenly become afraid of aircraft noise; we live near a military base, and sometimes the jets are very loud overhead - I guess we're used to the planes mostly, and DD has always slept through any noise; the last couple of days though she cries and wants to be held when she hears them; last night at 9pm there was an hour of almost non-stop jets (that doesn't happen very often I'm glad to say) and poor DD cried and comfort Bfed all the while. Any tips on how to show her that there's no need to be afraid? I have tried saying 'Hello plane' then 'Bye bye plane' but she's not getting it. I suppose she'll get used to it eventually but I don't like her to be frightened.
