Hello,
I am just curious as to what would be considered too long naptime. My lo usually naps anywhere between 1 - 1.5 hour at each nap. He takes 2 naps a day...i am in the midst of eliminating his catnap at 5:00 b/c i found that it would take him longer to settle for bed time at 7:30.
Here is my routine:
7:30 awake & bottle 4-6oz
8:30 cereal & fruit
10:00-11/11:30 nap
11:30 bottle 6oz
12:30 lunch - veggies
2:00-3:30 nap
3:30 bottle
5:30 dinner- cereal, veggies, fruit
7:00 bath/bedtime routine/bottle 6oz
7:30 asleep
I realize that the evening stretch he is up a long time. However, if he is up at 3:30, 5:30 is too late for a catnap b/c then he fights to go down at 7:30. When he is up for that long stretch, he doesn't seem to be too cranky...we usually take him outside for a walk around 6 & that settles him until his bath at 7:00.
Please share your suggestions on my routine, so I can try to help the frequent nightwakes...i too have little help from ds and now that the nightwakes are getting worse,he tries to help but that just makes my lo get more hysterical as i think he isn't used to seeing his dad at night??
Oh, by the way, what is the BW suggestion on eliminating the last feed??? I am not too familiar with BabyWIse and was contemplating on purchasing the book. Is is worth it???
Thanks for your help
