how long does your toddler take to fall asleep at night??

just wondering ?
for a 16month or so.

days are looking like this:

wake 6:30ish
nap 12:00-2/2:15
bed 5hrs after nap ends,
so usuallly 7:15/7:30
but usually takes 30 or more min to fall asleep for the night

is this normal?
should I make sure he is awake after 2hrs?, sometimes it is a 2hr 15min nap?
or is he OT and thus having a hard time falling asleep?

Deb, Isabella takes an av 20-30mins to fall asleep. I don't see that as overtired or undertired, I think some toddlers just need their own windown before they fall asleep.

Today, Alex skipped her nap so she fell asleep at 7pm (meant to put her earlier, I don't know where the time went!) But usually I put her to bed 7-7.15pm and she plays for up to an hour before falling asleep, this is regardless of half an hour or 2 hour nap.  Don't ask me, but as long as she isn't crying then she can party on!

I have no idea- 5 to 10 minutes?
I never hear her once I'm out of her room. and putting her to bed is super quick to- sleep bag, bye bye to all her cows and to daddy, curtains down, into the crib, kiss kiss and I walk out.

I do sort of think the same,
even though he has a good nap, I think I'll try bedtime a bit earlier so that he can play for 30min,
somehow it seems it is best if he falls asleep before 8pm,
last night it was 8:15 by the time he fell asleep, after napping from (12:20-2:35) and he was up at 5:30---so he actually took a 15min morning nap today, and I'm aiming for a 7ish bedtime so he can be asleep by 7:30ish
