It's less now but when Sam was that age he was the same. He was really sweaty just at the back of his neck and head - kind of above the collar line. He'd been it doing since he was a baby.
Obviously a cooler room and less bedding helps. It doesn't happen so much anymore.
Though when he runs around his head is often quite quick to get wet with sweat even now.

thanx emma, it's pretty cool in his room , seems to sweat even if the a/c is on ::) and he has no bedclothes on when going to sleep, i put him in his grobag later. Not sure it's a heat thing, def seems to be related to the going to sleep part :-\

I have wondered about this too. Nathan (6 now) still sweats like crazy.  Sometimes his pillow is soaking.  It doesn't seem to make any difference whether his room is cool or warm or what clothing he has on.
He has a blanket and quilt at the moment and wears his Pyjamas and a vest. (thinking of removing the vest, but never cast a doubt until May is out!!) and I will take the blanket away soon, but he rarely has the covers on anyway, he kickes them off. When I check on him at my bedtime, he has no covers on him and his legs and arms feel cool, but his head is sweaty.  I check his chest and it is warm but not boiling.  What do you think.
(sorry to nick your thread Michelle  :-*)
