How do you know when to move to next size teat?

With Toby I could recognise when he need the next size / flow teat as he used to get tired when he was feeding, but Leo is giving me no clues and I'm sure Toby was on Avent size three at this age - mind you, I BF Toby for longer and had a very fast flow.
Leo is feeding very well with solids, and has just three 6oz bottles a day now. Do you think if I moved up a teat size he might drink a bit more as I know 20oz is the recommended amount (he does eat yoghurt & cheese).

I think if I were you I would be tempted to try a bigger teat and see what happens. He may splutter a little at first but should get used to it. If he doesnt get used to it then its the sign that you need to return back to the ones you were using.

How long he is taking to finish his bottle is a good indication too but I agree with Ennypen and would probably just give it a go and see how he does.

I agree, I would give the next size up a go.  If he does not like it you can always go back to the slower stage.
