Is swaddling straight after a feed ok?
« on: June 05, 2007, 18:58:59 pm »
My ds is 2wks and does not settle well after night feeds.  She settles better for daytime naps after activity time and I was wondering how long should I wait after a night feed to swaddle her and put her down?  At the moment she takes up to one and a half to two hours to settle.  Any ideas or advice???

You can feed her swaddled if she'll stay awake and take the feed. Otherwise, you can do it immediately after the feed. Just be careful not to jostle her so much that she spits up. I made that mistake more than once when DS was a newborn. Poor child.
