poo question (sorry to be gross!)
« on: June 27, 2007, 15:29:03 pm »
Hi,

My lo's poos have changed recently - and not neccessarily during a time of new food introduction.  She used to have really mushy soft poos, but now they are quite a bit more formed.  They aren't rock hard or anything like that though.  (this sounds so ugly to be talking about!)  Anyway, is it natural for their poos to change as they eat more solids, or should I rethink the food or amount of food she is eating.  (She's been wanting more lately, so I've given it to her, and more in the form of finger foods).  Has this happened with any of your lo's?

It is normal, because there,s more fiber (milk has none) in her diet, and the more her diet is like an adult diet, the more "adult" her poo will be. Should she continue having baby poo with a solid diet...that would be abnormal.

Thanks ladies for tackling this "taboo" subject and putting my mind at ease.  I figured it was normal, but since this is my first baby, I just wasn't sure!  Thanks again,
