Transitioning when teething????
« on: June 30, 2007, 04:41:17 am »
hi guys,
imy near 4 month old daughter is ready to longer with her feeds. She may take a long time to strtch out her A time though, and i am worried about that. I started to transition to a 3 1/2 hr EASY, and things went crazy. Then i realised she has started teething! So our routine is shambles at the moment. What should i do? Should i just try and keep feeds the same time apart (although hard because she is hungry but it hurts her to feed, she is FF )and just let her sleep whenever, or will this undo all my hard work of having her on 3 hr easy?

Also, do you have any tips on teething besides painrelief? She is really upset at the moment and i am worried about it affecting her routine....any help will be appreciated!

I forgot to add that she has been really hard to settle and sleeping hardly at all. She was on 3 hr EASY, sleeping 3 x 1 1/2 hours and a catnap, then 10-12 hours at night, not waking during the night.

Now her days sleeps are horribly short and whenever, and she has begun to wake at night

Well if she is ready to eat every 4 hours I would do that. And then change her sleep when needed. As long she is falling asleep  herself, you wont undone your work.
