Baby with digestive problems
« on: July 18, 2007, 14:38:56 pm »
Hello!
My baby is 12 weeks old and iŽm bottle feeding him since he was 5 weeks due to lack of milk to breastfeed.
He always had many digestive problems even when I breastfeed him.
IŽve already tried 3 different formulas but he still has digestive problems. However with this last one he is getting better.
I'm also giving him some things (colimil and BioGaia - doŽnot know if exists in other countries other than Portugal)to calm those problems, but with no real improvements.
What can I do to make those problems better?
Is it true that in the 3rd or 4th month those problems get better or disappear?
Thank you for your help...  :)

Hello! ;D

Just wondering if you could clarify what you mean by digestive problems?  Does he has lots of gas, burps etc?   What type of formula is he on now?

Sorry for all the questions. :)

You could try gas drops (which might be one of the meds you mentioned on your first post). We always used Dr. Brown bottles which help so they don't take in as much air when eating.  I don't know if there is something similar where you are.  You also might want to check out the colic, crying, reflux board and check out the reflux symptoms to rule out that.  Here is the link https://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?board=13.0
