Am not sure if this should be in the EASYforum or General Sleep or here so please Mods move if in the wrong place :-)
Ok Ds just wont settle after his 10.30 pm feed and is often difficult to settle after his night feed too. I am pretty sure he is sleeping too long during the day but just cant seem to keep him awake. I think he may still have his days and nights mixed up. He will give tired signs, yawn and almost nod off but then comes back to life again. Have even tried accidental parenting with dodi and trying to get him to sleep in arms, and not even that works. Here is how yesterday went
5.20 am Awake and Eat. Didn't settle until 6.50 am
8.30 am Awake and Eat. Had to wake him
9.30 am Sleep
11.30 Awake and Eat
12.30 Sleep
14.30 Awake and Eat
15.30 Sleep
17.30 Awake and Eat
18.30 Sleep ( In car seat)
19.15 Woke him for a bath
19.30 Eat
20.00is Asleep
22.30 Woke him for night feed
23.30 Bed. Tried everything possible but stayed awake until 1.00am. Gave him small bottle at 12.50 am.
Today
5.20 am Awake and Eat ( kept him wrapped in swaddle and when fell asleep after bottle put him to bed)
5.50am Sleep
8.00am Woke him and Eat
8.45 Asleep on changing mat despite trying everything possible to wake him.
All his naps are in his cot. Sometimes it takes him between 15 and 30 mins to fall asleep, usually quite independantly. I swaddle him which he fights like crazy, calm him with soother, as soon as calm pop it out and wait for him to start nodding off, when I see his eyes starting to close I pop him in his cot. Sometimes I have to take him out and start all over again.
His bottle amounts are quite good, usually about 100 ml with the odd small one like at 1.00am this morning.
He is on infacol for colic and I started Dr Browns bottles yesterday.
The day before was pretty much the same, different waking and eating times and he was awake from 9pm to 12.30 am.
If he settled during the night like he does during the day it would be great. I have tried everything to keep him awake, it doesnt work. Me and dh are starting to run out of steam as there is no rest for us during the day between work, dd and daily life.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
