Each night for the past couple of nights I have asked myself and dh if we should stop giving her tylenol, but I keep worrying that maybe the tylenol is doing something for her and not giving it to her would make it worse.  We haven't been giving it to her for more than 5 or 6 days now, but we should probably stop after tonight.

We don't give her any milk, and although she asks for water once in awhile, we only give it to her once at the beginning of the night.  She is getting creative with her requests - she asks for us to turn on her lullaby doll (she knows how to do it herself), help finding her lovey (it is laying right next to her), for us to cover her toes with her blanket, and tonight she even fibbed and told dh that she had a poo-poo in her diaper.   ::)  We are trying to be savvy enough to simply stick with standing in the doorway and asking her to lie down, but she sure is trying!

I am going to try to stick with the earlier naps (she fought me a bit on today's earlier nap) and seeing if we can just wait out her calling for us as long as she isn't truly crying or distressed.  I just need to get dh on board with that last one - he has a hard time letting her call out for what feels like a long time in the middle of the night - he'd rather do WI/WO and feels like it gets over more quickly that way.  But shelliz, I think you're right - I don't want her to think that any peep will get us in there!

OH....LOL... we get the fibbing about the poo poo in her diaper as well. she knows that if she says she has it, we will get her out and start to change her. It really, really sounds like she is trying her best (pulling out all stops) to get you two in there to pay her some attention.  We have alot of the same antics going on!  They are cute (and creative) e...but annoying when you want time for yourselves in the evening!!!

Well, some things are much improved (or at least back to normal).  Her naps started shortening again, even at the earlier time, and the earlier bedtime started her waking up earlier than normal, so I figured that she had gotten caught up in sleep and I put her back on her normal 12:30p nap, 8p bedtime routine yesterday.  She went down fairly well for her nap (only slept 1 hr 20 min,  :-\ but hey, that's better than 45 min, right?) and went down fabulously for her bedtime (no WI/WO!).

However, (why is there always a 'however'?)   :P  she woke up at 3 am and kept waking up until almost 5a.  It was a total of about 8 times, with the longest stretch of sleep in that period being about 25 minutes.  She cried a couple of times, with the rest just calling out.  We tried to let her just call out without going in, but after about 10 to 15 minutes one time, we thought that we and she would get to sleep sooner if we did the WI/WO.  Which she did.  But is WI/WO now keeping her from falling asleep on her own?  Should I just let her call out for however long it takes, as long as she isn't truly crying?

She woke again later at 6a and was up for the day at 7a, so I'll probably need to give her an earlier nap, maybe noon.  Well, at least we got 7 hours straight, right?

wi/wo can't really be a prop so I don't think that should stop you from continuing. If she's just calling out though, you might want to leave her.
