what age to start df?

ds is 2 weeks old and is on 3 hr easy in the day and demand feed at night.  I want to know when I should introduce a df?  Also he is bf at the mo but I want the df to be a bottle so dh can do it, when should we do this?

We started dreamfeeding right from the start.  I just considered it a night feed.  I figure he would have woke up close to that time anyway, so why not beat him to the punch.  I would pump milk to feed him, so DH could give the dreamfeed in a bottle.  I think it helped us cut out the 2am feed much earlier.  I think he was 6-8 weeks when we dropped that feed.  then it was the dreamfeed, 4-5am feed then wake at 7am.  Keep in mind the dreamfeed doesn't work for everyone.  Some LOs start to have nightwakings as a result.  You will have to play it by ear in that regard.

Great advice Rhi! I agree, if you start it now there will be less of a chance of your LO having NW as a result of the DF. I personally loved the DF, my DD was all swaddled and sleepy/cuddly. Ahhhh. (NO! I'm not ready for another one.... ;D)
