Can someone help with my 7 week bedtime routine
« on: August 12, 2007, 22:36:47 pm »
My 7 weeks old son doesn't sleep very well at night, trying to establish a routine so we can get some sleep.  He on formula and currencly drinks about 6 oz . We are currently just giving him bottles when he starts showing he's hungry wich is about every 3 hours.  At night he usually as a long stretch where he sleeps for about 4 hours usually from about 4- 1am and then wakes up again at 3am or so where we give him another bottle and then only sleeps for about 2 - 3 hours where we give him another 5-6 oz and then he's wide awake and will not go back to sleep.  Sometime it's like 5 am and he just is wide awake.  We are so exausted and not sure what to do.  yesterday he woke up at 3 am and decided he was not tired anymore and didn't sleep until almost 8am.  Can someone give me some advice on what we can do to get more sleep.  Should we give him more formula?  should we be giving him bottles at scheduled times?
