I need your opinion/advice.

I have been waking up our 4 week old for night feeds since we have brought her home. LAtely we are doing a 6 hour night stretch. Everyone I know (except dr's and nurses) is telling me to let her sleep when she is hungry she will wake up.  She has good bowel movements and plenty of soggy diapers.  Anyways would you let her sleep and if not at this point (too young) when would you quit setting the alarm to wake her up.  I don't want to create a habit of her waking up.

Obviously you should listen to your doctor, but I was told that as long as my lo was back up to her birth weight at two weeks then I didn't need to wake her up during the night anymore.
However, I continued to wake her after 3 hours during the day to help her get her days and nights figured out and to get more calories in during the day.

Hi Aleks,
I never woke K up during the night for a feed and he was 3 weeks prem. I do wake him up during the day to try and keep him on a 3 hour feed schedule. You guys are doing fab, and unless there is a medical reason I wouldnt waken her either.

xx
