Well, Sylvie, its safer but the National Institute of Health (USA) does say no cow milk until one year as it has been shown to lower blood count. This is in their divulgatory page Medline (Which in general rather good for medical info). They do not make any difference between boiled/cooked or straight from container (it is sterilized anyway, straight from container). Spanish doctors tell you the same, but do not explain why. I take it that a lower blood count may be lower in red cells, but am not sure. Quantity may also be important, in other words all the milk of the day should be "worse" than just 4 ounces on a custard. The thing is that I do not think it is a lot of bother to mix formula, whereas express your own milk IS a pain in the neck. I,ll have to check what they mean exactly by "lower blood count" ....
