What is happening is waking eeks earlier and earlier (today was 6.45, tmorrow will prob be a touch earlier) and when it gets back to 11.5 hours nightsleep I offer a morning nap to keep BT later thus wakings later.  It will most likely blow up in my face but its working right now so I'll stick with it for the moment!
If its working for you ATM you may be lucky and she starts to cope with the A time soon - hopefully getting rid of the creeping WU and you wont need that CN :) :)

Kara - How long will your LO nap if he isn't OT (or pushed to try to get him to nap later in the day) and you let him sleep as long as he likes? (You have probably already mentioned this but I cant remember :-\ ) ... why I am asking is that if I leave Zac to nap as long as he likes after a 4.5-5hr A he will sleep up to 3 hours (sometimes more but I wake him) He is now sleeping more at night than ever before too. Before I would try to wake and extend etc and it messed him up more IYKWIM? Just wondering what he would do if left to his own devices - provided that you can fit it in around your other LO.

Well, C stopped napping and while I was at an appointment for M, I discovered C had an ear infection and his poor little nose was so inflamed the ped prescribed a steroid spray.  I felt so bad, because I assumed the sleep disruption was teething.  He was totally fine when he wasn't sleeping.

Anyway, so now we are a mess again.  Waking between 4-4:30 for the past 3 mornings.  Today he didn't want a CN or a nap.  He only slept for 20 minutes in the stroller at 9:30 and then 1.5 hours at 12:45.  But both were a struggle.  I am not sure if he is still unwell or just out of whack.

Sara and KM, if we put him down at 10 when he is waking at 5, he will sleep for a while.  But the problem remains that during the week, there are drop offs and pick ups for pre-school.  So he will barely get 1.5 hours with that nap time.  On the weekends, we have more flexibility.

He actually only took 1 nap for 2 days, because he wouldn't take 2.  Today I forced him into 2, since I feel like he must be OT.

Its so tricky! After my goings on about D's amazing nights we also have EW back.  ::) She has been ill too though and I have reverted back to offering 2 naps....and so the cycle begins. OT/UT loop.  >:(

Once I am sure she is fully healthy I will go back to 1 nap and power through the OT that comes with it though, for her it seems to be the only way. Our EWs are not as early as yours though (((((hugs))))) BTDT with B through 2-1 and it was hell on earth.,  :'(

Ugh, I am sorry Emma!  Your routine did seem great.  At least you know she can do it!

Kara - how is it going now with the naps?
H was getting really good at 1 nap for about a week but has been poorly and back on 2 naps grrrr. Tbh makes NO difference to him anyway for night sleep and wake up times. He has been sleeping for 1.5 hours morning and afternoon and then having 11.5 hour nights so can't complain but need to get back to one nap for convienience this week. Problem is, if we go out in the morning, he always falls asleep in the car!
