My EAS routine is now ESA ... help!!
« on: September 19, 2018, 08:16:38 am »
Hi everyone,

I had my baby girl in a lovely routine from around weeks 6 - 12.

She was sleeping roughly 7pm - 2am, having a bottle, then sleeping until 7am.
We then began a 3 hour EASY with feeds at 7, 10, 1, 4 and 7 - it worked perfectly.

She is now 15 weeks and the last 3 weeks has been sleeping longer at night, but this is now throwing off the routine.

She sleeps 7pm - 5.30 am has a bottle, and then sleeps until 7am.
It is too early for her to have her bottle at 7, so she ends up getting hungry at around 8.30am, just as she is getting tired for her nap so we end up doing Eat, then Sleep, then Activity - and repeat. She is also now on a 3.5-4 hourly feeding schedule so is down to 5 bottles a day, rough timings are: 5.30am, 8.30am, 12.00pm, 3.30pm and 6.45pm but these are not fixed - i currently feed on demand and it sort of looks like this - I am not against set times for feeds if this would help.

She was settling to sleep very easily herself whilst on EASY but since her night sleep has changed and her routine is now ESA she doesn't settle quite as well for her naps and gets a bit upset.

Any advice on how to change this? I'd like to stick to the 5 bottles in 24 hours if possible.

Thank you!
