Hi.
How many eggs is ok to have in a week? My son loves scrambled eggs, I have only been letting him have 1 egg a week. My DH thinks I'm insane. What do you all think, how many eggs is ok in a week??
Thanks,
Z

I wouldn't have a problem with one every day. Eggs get a bad rap. A source of Omega 3 and 'good fats'.
In the UK they've revised the stuff about limiting eggs. Although eggs contain cholestrol it's now known that it's actually not eating cholestrol that's the main problem but levels of saturated fats in your diet. And eggs are relatively low in saturated fats.
This is from the UK equivalent of the FDA

My pedi said they consider an egg a "whole" meal for a toddler because of all the good proteins and such. She suggests at least 3 times a week. Some weeks Caleb has them every other day, some weeks just a couple of times a week. HTH. I guess I never thought about him having too many eggs because pedi thinks they are so great.

Tyler eats 3-4 eggs per week. Would probably eat them every day if I let him, but I like to mix it up a little and give him pancakes one day, eggs another, french toast the next. You get the picture.
