Sherry - I'd have reservations about cutting the nap from 2 hours right now if you think he's OT.

Cutting nap to 2 hours is working wonders here.  He's generally doing 1pm-3pm so routine is looking as follows:

630am - Wake (Can be anywhere from 6am-7am though)
1pm-3pm - Nap
730-8pm - Bed

We were at a water park yesterday and he had a 2 hour nap on the sun lounger which kept him on track.  I just laid him down and told him to go to sleep and he did.  Had to keep mopping the sweat off his face though as it was so hot!

Also had a 12 hour night last night.  Dh heard him chatting just after 6 but he went back to sleep till 810am.  Not sure how that's going to effect nap today so will put him down at 1pm and see what happens.

Hope you all have super days!

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the feed back.

Not sure if we got a full 11 hours or not because I'm not sure how long he was up for when he woke at 3:#0 and at 4:30. But he's going strong. I was going to try the usual 12 nap time and he was no where close to ready, so I'm going to aim for 1.

Got my fingers crossed for you Karen (as well as for myself) :)

How'd get on?  E went down fine just after 1pm so will wake him at 3pm as usual.

It went well. Asleep 1:10. I Woke him at 3:10. He was really tired and trying to go back to sleep :)  Because it was a longer A time than he is used to. But I didn't want to chance an no nap because he wasn't looking at all tired before that.

Glad E was a good boy.

Natasha - don't you think I should drop it down to 1h45m for a few days first, before I just cut it to 1.5?

Great idea make sure you give it at least 3days to see how it goes.

Ok - so we are trying the 1.5 nap today, not by choice.

So here is the routine for today.
Crying 5:05am not sure when he went back to sleep, or for how long.
Woke for the day 7:06
Nap 12:45-2:15 woke on his own. Pretty sure it was an OT nap as he woke a few times during the nap, but he didn't need me at all.
Bed 5.5 hours later at 7:45. No fuss. Asleep around  8:00.

Got my fingers crossed.
