Do you have any chunk of time when he can take consistent naps at home? Ie does he always nap in the stroller?
How are your nights going?
Have you had any luck with him starting to fall asleep on his own?

Hi, no, not always in the stroller, just when the weather is fine :)
Actually, last two days he had only 1 nap at midday - 1h30min (first A around 5:30h, second 5h) Isn't it better than 2 naps of 30 min or less?
I know it's sort of cold turkey but I think there still be 2 naps days, he STTN, even yesterday with a runny nose, poor guy.

I just wonder if it's possible for him to take a longer nap than 1h30min (I tried PD no luck).

And he's not falling asleep alone yet, I decided to wait for the teeth and now with a cold, I don't want to trouble him even more.

Hey that's great!!!! If that's what's working for you , then go for it!

In my experience, it's best to keep bedtime early while going through the transition, and offer a 2nd nap every 4-5 days to help with the OT. Because although it may seem to be going good for a few days or a week, things can start to spiral out of control quickly if you don't keep bedtime early as they adjust. It's one thing for a toddler to go one, two days on one nap, but it's totally different when they start going several days in a row, you know? So just keep a look out for it. :)
It will also take some time, but the naps may lengthen out. My DD's were short, then long and now they're back to 1.5 hours and 11 hrs at night but she's happy. I still wish that she would take a long nap, but she's never been a long napper, so I'm not holding my breath! ;)

Good luck! :)

Hey Smurfette!

Back to two naps b/c of the cold but he sleeps at night (thankfully!), two days ago he took 1h nap at 9am and 1,5h at 2pm but I guess only b/c of the runny nose. But interesting thing - he asked for the nap himself - took his blankie and laid down on the kitchen floor, then took my hand and led me to the staircase, fell asleep in 30sec in his cot.
Sometimes I think he's smarter than I assume and understands much more and I wonder if in fact he wouldn't show/tell himself that he wants to sleep instead of set naps approach... (I realise the dangers and downsides though).
Waiting for the cold to pass...

have a nice day!
