I'd get past the OT with some longer naps, then see where you are. You might get lucky and get a super long nap one day which will naturally lead to a later bedtime and you can take it from there.

Would it be really horrible if he goes to bed really late one night and then hopefully we will get a later WU? We have a wedding in a few days and he probably won't be getting to bed on time.

If I do BT only a little later than usual then he won't wake later but maybe if he goes to bed much later then normal he would wake up later because he would be exhausted? He probably won't sleep his normal 11.5hrs but at least sleep till 7/730 or so?? What do you think? Will it be a disaster getting back on track?

No not horrible. Just not guaranteed, of course ;) You know him better than me, what's he usually like getting back on track after travelling or whatever? My kids would have a crazy night like that and then go right back to their old routine the next night, but you could have a different experience.

Sorry there's no definitive answers - but you know by now that's just how it goes ;) :-*

Well I guess I'll give it a try then...

So your kids would go back to a 6am WU even if their previous day was 730/12/730 for example?

Yeh, they'd be tired after a short night and just slip back to the old routine.
