Thanks Anna  :)

I think you're right, I just need to do it.  DD has been out all day with her grandparents so I've left it today but as of tomorrow I will be outside her room and pushing her towards the one nap!

Thanks for all your help  :)

Well I'm amazed!!  ;D ;D ;D

I've been putting this off for about 2 weeks now because I thought it would be a nightmare but I moved to sitting outside the door this morning and DD was asleep within 12 minutes with only a tiny bit of crying.  I can't believe it!

Just to clarify what I'm doing with the 2-1 switch.

This morning she was up at 6 so I put her down just before 10.30 and I expect she'll sleep for about 1hr 15 then I'll give her early bedtime of 6.00.  If she's really tired this afternoon I'll try and get her to CN in the pram about 3.30.  Is this a good idea? Do I now start pushing her nap out by 15 minutes every few days?

;D

You can do a long pm and short catnap, or a 30 mins catnap in the morning and then a longer nap after lunch. When you get to one nap it will probably need to be about 11 so you're not left with a huge long A time before bed.

Just wanted to give an update on how I'm getting on.  Most of my posts are asking for help so I thought it would be nice to write one about how well it's going for a change!  ;D ;D

I'm still sitting outside DD's room and she's usually settling within 10 minutes with minimal or no crying.  Sometimes it takes a bit longer, maybe 40 minutes or so but it is soooooo much less stressful being outside the room than sitting and watching her.  I think in another week or so I should be able to just put her down and go downstairs and leave her to it.

I haven't gotten her onto one nap yet as she wakes up quite early so it's a bit tricky but I'm just playing each day by ear and it seems to be working okay so far.

Anyway, thanks so much for all your help.  Hopefully I won't be back for a while!
