Push push push:). I would start from nap not BT. So 11:15 and if nap not OT, by at 6:15 for 3/4 days and so on and so on.

I find it hard to tell UT/OT...what would you say Marta? Anything less than 2h OT?? He did 1h35 today  :-\ so I guess we'll have to stick with 6pm. I can only get a CN if he's really exhausted now.

I meant if you get OT like 35-45min. It happened to us during this transition once or twice. 1.5h even if OT, is probably quite restorative so wouldn't be so afraid to push BT.

You know, I remember you telling not me how it was with J and you just sticked to set times and it finally settled. When B is going to nursery? One more month at home with you?

Gotcha ;) and I love how we keep the advice going round!  You know I have googled sometimes to find relevant threads and ended up finding my own advice to someone else ::) ::)

Will try the push to 11.15 tomorrow and check back in a few days, thanks xx

Haha Katherine:) I also have moments when I decide for something and realize that would be my advice to someone with the same problem. The case is that I usually have problem with me advising myself:P.

^^^ Don't we all. It's never as easy to see when it's right in front of you! ;) :P ::)

I agree I'd start by pushing nap over BT. I've always been timid to push too far as well (I think because it never worked with Claire and I've had a hard time getting over that. :-\) But, Charlie can take a really good nap after 6.5hr A! :o I would've never known that had I not just made him get there (of course, that's still having a nap at 12/12:30pm ::)).

Hope you had a great time away!! ;D

Right I got us to 11.30 nap and made 6.30pm BT yesterday :D it's a tad messy....silly third molar....but am aiming to stick with those times for a week to see if it will set in and if he will regulate.  Night still ok, some wakings in early part but then going through until a very reasonable WU time - 6.45 this morning!!

Couple of things - I'm not waking in the morning at the moment, I didn't with DD when setting times and was never sure if that was right or wrong. Thoughts?  And I'm going to do 6.30 BT for a nap of 2h or more, less I will go nearer to 6pm. Sound ok?

I would set BT frankly speaking. So when nap is 11:45 go for 6:45, than 7pm and stick with it. I think it starts to be reasonable to expect a 11.5-12h from him so don't go back to shorter day as you will be back to EW I would afraid. As with J...:)? BT at 7pm no matter what...?

Ah well......J went to bed at 6/6.15 for months!  Nursery naps were soooooo bad she needed it :P.

I'm ok with a 6.30-6.30 day rather than 7-7 actually (need to be up then for work/nursery and fits in with DD) so in a way no need to push BT too much later.  He's doing a good 12h night right now, sometimes more.  I guess 6.30-11.30/12-6.30 is the equivalent of the 7-12/12.30-7 routine anyway?

Naps haven't been great last 3-4 days but I will keep at it a few more days and then post x

So keep BT at 6:30 and that's fine I guess. F is doing a nap at 12 right now and BT at 7. I guess I won't push the nap until he is refusing it.
