Yes Aisling, a full bed should be same size as a double. HTH!

i've seen a thomas train topper that looked like a great idea. i wonder if it will stop the night time rolls though?  ::)

theron slept through all last night, and was still in bed yelling for dad at 7.10am this morning  ;D

he also asked to sleep in the big boy bed for his nap (if "NO! SLIPP! DAT!") can be called asking ;) but then he also said "no" quite firmly when i asked him if he wanted the crib to go bye-bye.

don't forget to spill on your headboard idea, aisling xx ::)

Hey well done on your transition.  We are making our transition probably next week.  I wanted to wait until after the holidays so things are all normal again for little B :P

I know what to do with the crib- get another baby ;)  That worked for us! :D

Hey Aisling I love this idea why don't you go with this one!!!!!

If that doesn't do it and he wants to keep the crib, the futon and the big boy bed in his room maybe I should drive up with Ava and we can have one old big sleep over  ;D  But if a new baby wins over us I would be over the moon anyway.

I'll be joining you soon Aisling as we need Zander's cot for Nathaniel, who's getting too big for his hammock  ::)  I'm dreading it, swapping Zander to a bed and Nathaniel to a cot at the same time  :P  :-\

Sorry, the little guy is crying, but I'll be back to keep up with your progress!  Oh and well done for not lying down with him, soooo tempting when you're tired!

Enough with your baby thoughts you silly ladies... :P :-*

C'mon on board Lana and Kelly.... ;)

Things going well still.  I think I mention that his crib needs to get fixed and maybe he can help Daddy take it apart.  He doesn't even pay attention to it anymore, so I'll see how he reacts.

Spending my time looking at sheets and have convinced DH to paint the room next week.

Am thinking I might wait to see if he needs the rail.  I know a lot of Mums like it for safety obviously but to also hold in their toys, teddies and blankets etc...so they don't have an excuse to get up and go retrieve the stuff especially when going to sleep kwim?

How about the rest of you?

Last night N helped his Dad take apart the crib/cot and was very excited to put it away downstairs.  I asked him what shall we do with the futon when his big bed arrives and he said "Put in garbage." So that is good news.  5am wake up but back in bed until 7:40 today.  Ok.

We did use a guard rail with and will with B but they also will/do have twin size beds so less room to roll KWIM?  If he hasnt fallen out of the futon then you may be fine to go without all together.

Hi Aisling, officially joining you as of tonight!  We put the bed up today and Zander kept saying he wasn't going to sleep in it, it pulled at my heart strings when he started to put all the toys he wanted to take to bed into his cot at bedtime  :'(  Surprisingly though, he went to sleep in his bed without a peep and has been there ever since  :o  He has all his usual things - Thomas night-light, lullaby light-show (on a table by his bed!) and a bedrail so it's probably not hugely different to his cot.  He also has a safety gate on the other side of his bedroom door so I know he won't be wandering during the night.  This is also his first night with a blanket and without his sleeping bag  :(  He knows he's going to give his cot to Nathaniel but I wonder how he'll feel about it when we actually move it to his room?!  I think Nathaniel (aka marshmallow man) will be grateful of the extra space!

Nello likes any opportunity to get his tools out and do some DIY doesn't he?!  You are well looked after there Aisling :D

Lana, that is what I am thinking, I'll wait and see before I buy.

Kelly, how did he make out? Can't believe he is done with the gro-bag too!

sniff, sniff...I'm getting teary-eyed.  I can't be that far behind you gals. Who's says they can grow up?  Why, oh why does it have to happen?!?

lol casey. i, too, can't imagine your boy without that gro-bag, kelly!

so theron slept last night in his crib, but nap, and night-night today in his big boy bed. previous questions along the lines of "do you want the crib to go bye-bye" have met with a considered no, but today i asked if he was ok with the crib going bye-bye tomorrow, and he said yes. "BI BO BEH!"

aisling -- one thought i had was to make some quilted panels and hang these so they rest just past the top of the bed. that way they're changeable as he grows older and his decor changes.

Amazingly, we didn't hear from Zander until 8.15 this morning when he sat up in bed and started singing  ;D  I got carried away and tried to get Nate to take his nap in the cot but that wasn't happening.  Zander has said he's going to give his cot to Nate tomorrow though, so I won't be fighting that battle again today.  We're all staying at my mum's tonight.  Nate will take his hammock and Zander will sleep in a bed (with me and DH whenever we crawl in with him!!).

Let us know how Theron goes Katy.  Zander is looking at his photo and trying very hard to say his name but the 'th' just isn't happening!!
