Deb, the 8 am wake ups are awesome but I'm not sure if they are bed related, more like late night holiday catch up IYKWIM. Although up at 7:30 today

He did get up at 12:45 and come into our room and when I said "Hey" he ran back to his room and into his bed. I tucked him in, didn't say a word and put his angel back on. He then said from his room "Shhhh-usht!" (he is imitating me

) laughed a bit and then I have no clue as I fell back asleep.
We also are surprised that we don't need a gate. When going to sleep at night he stays in his bed pretty much or if I hear him fooling around out of the bed, I go to the door and say "Back in bed." most times he is already jumping into the bed as he hears my footsteps coming down the hall. Sometimes he peeks his head out the door on his hands and knees but he never comes out

of the room and then I say "goodnight" and he scurries back in his room. I so remember doing this as a child. I was dying to know what the adults were doing out there.

Stacy, go for it. The bed in the room is a great idea. We've had that futon in there since birth and he only asked one time back in Aug at nap to sleep in it (slept only 40 min, so that was the end of that!) I highly recommend getting him involved with the take down of the crib as it put closure on it for him.
I love the double bed, no rail. I especially love going in to do the before my bedtime to check on him and I have a little lay beside him, it is the only time I can snuggle with him with out him wriggling around...ahhhh....so nice.... thanks ladies for saying he is a cutie too.
Let us know how it goes for you guys.
A x
