funny you should mention parmezan because my MIL says that here in Italy in her region of Emilia Romagna they used to give babies parmezan as their first food when weaning at 4 months!!! those were the days eh???!!!!! :o

Umm sounds tasty!

Am pleased Emma that Abbi's doing well, is she feeling better?  Just out of interest - is it plain yog or fromage frais??

Sounds yummy... we were doing fromage frais in November but stopped after Ethan had that nasty vomitting virus.  Going to try and see the GP again and see what he thinks!  I hope the chest x-ray's okay, i'm sure it will be - especially as she's so well in her self.  I hope 2008's going well  :-* so far!

I was just going to start a thread about this LOL. We decided to try Lucas on yogurt again, and 2 days in seems OK, poop slightly runnier than normal, but only a bit and no sign of any pain. So, how long should I keep him just yogurt before trying cheese?

Hi Mella. good to see u again!

Dietician said to work up teaspoon by teaspoon and record the reactions seen (if any).  And then once a whole yoghurt is tolerated, then to move to cheese!

We used cheese today, she wasnt really keen on the taste tbh  :-\

So we had a full yoghurt today.... and no reaction again.

Dietitician wants me to try cheese but again, she didnt like it today, spat it out..... so what would be the next step? Milk in jarred foods (she still has some of these), hidden milk in diff things such as biscuit (toddler ones)? When would whole milk start?

Sorry for all the Q's. cant get hold of dietician again. I would be very grateful if anyone could help me with the next step?  :-*

It is great that the yogurt is still going really well. If she does not like the cheese then you could try adding a little milk into some soup or something like that. You could also try jarred food or biscuits as you mentioned. I know some people that have gone straight to whole milk at this point but took it very slow. Only offered a very small amount at first and then built the amount up every other day. I hope it goes well with whatever you decide to try. It is a real pain when you can't get hold of dieticians when you really want there advice. Mind you James's was not very good anyway but yours sounds great.

Sounds good Emma  8)

I think it could take her a while to get her used to cheese as its probably quite salty after what shes been used to  :)

But hey its so great to hear that shes tolerating it  :-*

What are you gonna do next?

is she still drinking the neocate flavoured stuff?
