I'm so tired I can hardly type!  I probably went to sleep just after midnight only to get woken by dh when he came to bed just after 2am.  Don't think I really went back to sleep before Ethan woke up at 3am.  Decided to give him some milk and he hadn't eaten much yesterday and then he went back down quite easily.  Only to then wake at 5am crying which didn't stop until I got him up just before 7am.  Was doing wi/wo and pd but he wasn't having any of it.  This child is a little monster!

Hope you all had good nights.  Sure they were a lot better than mine!

Hugs Karen, hope he feels better soon.  Do you think it is a combination of not feeling well and being OT?  I really hope you can get some sleep hun.

I can tell you I found DS to be a lot easier than DD is, I thought perhaps it was just case Abi was a girl and more difficult, but I guess it must just be second child syndrome ???

Our night was ok.  She cried out a few times in her sleep (am thinking teeth), but slept until 7am this morning - so again had just short of 12 hours.  She is having a bit of SA at the mo, so I am sitting by her bed while she settles, not looking at her and not touching her, as long as she can see me she seems fine.

This afternoon, I was able to leave before she was asleep, so fingers crossed.

She seems so much more settled in the bed compared to the cot.  She does not toss and turn at all anymore, I am really thinking she must have been cramped in the cot.

Sherry, how was your night hun?

Paula I notice that when Lyle is teething badly he is extra clingy. So maybe it's those molars playing up again.
Night was ok.
We are having some difficulty with the first nap right now, but I'm sticking to my guns.

Sherry, yes she is still teething, she is battling with those bottom two molars.  You are right that is probably what is causing a lot of the clingyness too.

Paula, is Abi sleeping in a grown up bed?

We were having loads of problems getting her to go to sleep in her cot.  She was freaking and losing the plot and we could not get her to sleep.  Out of desperation, I put her in Toms old bed for a nap and after her playing for a bit she went straight to sleep.  That was on Friday, and we have moved the bed into her room now and she loves it.

Sher,
How's it going?

Why is it that when I do a quote, it doesn't say who said it?  How do you do that?

Quote (selected)
Brooke - My dd is a week older than your ds!  Who did you find easier?  I defiantly found dd easier but being the first probably made it that was as well.

Hmmmm...  I'd say the first (DS) was definitely easier too.  The only thing that made it harder for me is that I had no idea what to expect!  So I had to adjust just to being a mom, staying home, and all the things babies do.  I'd get a little freaked every time he did something new.  Like when he was teething, and I didn't know what was making him cranky, I'd freak and think he was suddenly a cranky baby and was going to stay that way.   ;D ::)  So I don't have that with DD, but her day sleep has kept me guessing since day 1.  And she was a TERRIBLE sleeper, day and night when she was newborn to like 4/5 months.  Oh, DS had NW's much more often, though.  NW's are the worst in my opinion.  But he was a GREAT day sleeper, unlike DD.

Hope you all had a good night.

Still guessing as we are in the 2-1 nap switch.  Last night it took her 45 min to go to sleep, A time was 5 hrs and 15 min.   ???  2 weeks ago it was 4 hrs 20 min.

We had a 445am wake up this morning and I took him straight in with me as I was in the spare room and didn't want dh getting woken up as he had to be up soon for work.  Finally got him back to sleep I think just after 6am and he woke at 7am.  He's killing me man!  Had a one nap day of 1hour 15mins or so but has been in great spirits.  Was at a friends house and they had dinner there so got him to bed at 7pm.

We've rented our house so will going to the States in about 2 months time.  Will be moving into my Mum's first before we go.  Don't really see the point of making much effort as he's going to be all over the place for the next few months if not longer!

Charm - How's Katrina getting on with the switch?  Still not good?

Brooke - You're having fun with the switch as well then?  Ours has already been going on for months so I'm just going with the flow!

Paula - How's Abi getting on?  Hope those teeth come through soon.  I can see Ethan's last 4th molar about to break through so hopefully we'll get a break soon.  I've been saying this for months though haven't I?!

Karen your plans sound terrific.  Will you still be online though?  We'd miss you.  Katrina woke up at 5.30 this morning  :(  Was almost falling asleep on me at 9.30 so put her down for a nap which didn't last more than 1hr, and another 50 mins in the pm (ended 2.20).  I am exhausted and can't think straight.  I don't want to hear that it lasts for months anymore.  I can't even bear the thought, let alone.

Big hugs Charm.  So sorry it's been such a boogar.  It doesn't always last for months.  It's easier for some.  Let's hope for Katrina.

Karen, Where are you moving to?

I hope you both (Karen and Charm) get a nap today.   :(

Huge hugs Karen and Charm, sorry about the EW's.

Abi woke at 6:30, but I was able to re-settle her and she slept until 8:00am :o

But today we only had an hour nap ??? Not sure what is going on there.

Thanks Brooke.  How's it going for you?

Paula, let's just hope it's molars, so it's just a phase and it can be controlled by meds(hopefully).  Or even better let's say it's a fluke  ;)
