Sounds like we all need a huge round of hugs all around.
I had to do wi/wo for an hour before he would go down for the second nap. But  I just couldn't give in. He was so tired and cranky ALL DAY before that. And then just like K he got a stupid second wind right when I took him to his room to put him to bed. We have kindermusick tonight. Our first one of the quarter and it costs a lot of money so I didn't want to miss it. We missed two last quarter do to stupid naps. This stinks.
Charm - so sorry to hear about your exercise class and date with DH. I say just do it anyways. Go to the exercise class and go on a date. Most likely she will still be out of sorts tomorrow anyways so it might not be a great nap day anyways. Did you give her some pain meds?

Hello ladies, two teething wake ups last night, and an hour and 10 minute nap today.  Cranky bab with bright rosey cheeks  :'(

Hugs Anna, I think it may take him a bit of time to adjust.  Does he have a lovey or anything that he could take in to nursery for sleep time?

Sherry, hugs on the 10 hour night.

How did bedtime go Karen?

Hugs Charm, sorry about the naps.  I am thinking teeth - Did you try some paracetamol?

Paula, he has a lovey (an identical rabbit to the 3 we keep at home) but you made me think I'll take one of the 'home' rabbits and swap him for the nursery rabbit. The nursery rabbit has lived there for a long time now and definitely smells of nursery not home. Might make a difference. (can you tell I'm clutching at straws?  ;) )

Poor sweetheart, grrr horrid teeth. Hope they let her sleep better tonight.

Sherry - How long did he nap for in the end?  Big hugs.  Glad you stuck to your guns.  I usually give up after 5 mins!

Paula - Hope you have a better night tonight.

Anna - Glad you got him to bed early.  Hope he has a good night for you.

Charm - Ah hugs hun.  Where abouts in London are you?  If it's North I'll come babysit for you one night so you can have an evening out.

Left the party at 630pm and got him in bed asleep for 7pm so quite impressed with myself.  Hope he has a good night as I'm shattered.  Might head to bed soon as dh is at work anyway!

Anna, it might be worth a try.  We take Abis Bobo (her blanket) to nursery every day.  She always sleeps with it and then it goes in the bag to nursery.

So it is always smelling of home.  Definitely give it a try.

Oh, goodness, hugs round to everyone, sounds like several of you have had a rough few days...
We seem to have had a breakthrough to 1 nap in the past 3 days straight, wondering if it truly will stick. FINALLY? He's 17.5 mos... Kind of rough keeping him awake till noon, but he did it today...fingers crossed.
To all those BW kids who've not been sleeping, go to sleep and give your mamas a rest!
Charm- I totally want me time again, workout time again, date night again, I get it, I truly do..

Thanks for understanding  :-* :-*  I think it might be teething too.  But I did give her paracetamol just in case the jabs played up.  Just hoping it was an off day.

Anna seems like Stan got a 2nd wind too by 12.  Maybe he's not ready for it yet?

Maybe. We'll see how tomorrow goes. Trouble is, an early nap + later one aren't working for him at nursery either, so I'm running out of options.

Good morning crazy nappers (and their frazzled mummies)! We had an OK night last night, took a bit of getting down, but then slept soundly all night. Woke up at 6. Managed to doze (on and off) for half an hour on Daddy's chest, then BF, then dozed half an hour more on me, started the day at 7.15. I know, AP, but I figured even if he wasn't soundly sleeping then at least being relaxed, quiet, in the dark, would help him be better rested and maybe he'll go down easier for his nap at 12 at nursery today. Have also taken a lovey from home and swapped it with the one that lives at nursery, as suggested by Paula.

Hope you all have great naps today. Soon we'll have to retitle the thread Naps gone Bamm - 14 mo old. How long can it last??  ;) (I think Speechie will tell us - a long time)

Yeah K is already 14 months actually  ;D

We had a good night too.  She was chatting for 5mins at 6 but went back to sleep, and woke her at 7.  She seems refreshed and in a good mood.  Have just put her down for catnap , and it seems like she's going to fall for it.  Hopefully we can go on that date tonight.

Karen, you are so sweet to offer to babysit  :-* :-* :-*  We are in the south though.

Anna Hope the lovey helps.  I think it makes sense.

Karen - he actually ended up taking about a 1.5 hour nap. So he did really well. He still woke tired though and he got WAY os at kindermusick but he came home and went to bed well and he did a 10 hour night, which I expected because he got a lot of sleep during the day (for him, 2.75 hours)

He was up at 5:52 and refused the morning nap. So tried putting him down again at 5 hours A time. And it was a nightmare again.
He's already up from his nap, but he's just standing in his crib. I should go get him before he cries. He did ok on his nap. He woke a lot though and put himself back to sleep. So he had a fitful nap of about 1.5 for today.

I really don't know what's up with him and I don't know what to do for him.

Sherry - Poor you........loads of hugs.  I'm sure he'll get back on track soon.

We had some nw from 440am on and he wanted it to be an ew but Mummy was having none of it!  Went back to sleep till 7am in the end.  Was out visiting a friend today so he had 30 mins in the car on the way there and 40 mins in the car on the way back.  Bed at 7pm but heard him chatting for a while so reckon he was asleep by 730pm.  Hope we have a better night tonight........I'm sleepy!

Ethan is nearly 15 months.........sigh.........
