But like I said, I'm a softie and also a bit of a worry wart.

Yeah me too Hun, that's what made it so hard, but his hand is absolutely fine, there has been no mention of it this morning.

This morning he woke at 6.40 but I followed through with the same action as last night, back into bed until the gro-clock sun comes up, from now on. Apart from banging the gro-clock of the wall in anger it went quite well  ::). The latter was what Sam did not me by the way  ;).

Hazel, I'm so glad Charlie got those 12 hours sleep in. IIWM today I would go for a nap as early as possible, but I would try 45 minutes, see if you can spot him coming our of the first sleep cycle, and rouse him. Then I would do BT PD with WD around 6 hours 15 mins from that with the hope sleep after 6.5. What do you think  ??? Today I'm starting a shorter nap too in the hope we can get Sam's night's consistently 11 hours minimum again.

Good Luck today everyone.

x.

Unfortunately the nap has been taken out of my hands again, thanks to DP. He promised going to a park, which is fine but as he woke later this morning he was not ready as early to go down so we have come out. I was hoping he would sleep in the car on the way, and he is now absolutely shattered but hasn't slept. Which means he will probably sleep on way home which will be way after 2pm so BT will end up as a stupid time. I cannot wait for DP to go back to work, and now dread days when he is at home, which is wrong I Know but he just doesn't understand.

Just when I thought we were getting back on track something throws it off ( and its usually DP) :-( x

After nearly 3 hrs of running round in the hot weather Charlie was absolutely knackered. He said he wanted to sleep on the sofa when we got home. I managed (just) to keep him awake in the car, and when we got home I put a DVD on and he had little bursts of energy followed by slumps. I took him up for bath at 4.45 and at 5.25 I have just left him in bed, he seems to have fallen asleep within 5 mins. I just hope he can pull more than 12 hrs so we don't get a 5.30 WU, but if I'd gone later I think the night have been shorter. I will be doing early nap tomorrow before his nursery days.

Good luck to you babyrose, lets hope we both get good results from the SEBT x

Hi Hazel,

I hope if Charlie had a late nap that am over rides pm and you get a decent BT for him...jhope springs eternal eh  ::)

Nicola, you'll be doing BT right now, so sending sleepy vibes your way  ;)

Sam's day has been 6.45 WU

Nap 1.15 to 1.45 nap (unavoidably later) 30 minutes.

What time would you do BT on a 30 minute nap  ??? How long should his day be I wonder  ??? I'm hoping 12.5 hours asleep for 7.15...is that realistic do you think  ???

If anyone there right now please give me your thoughts  :)

x.

Hazel, glad you got a good long night. Sorry today was a wash, it's even more difficult when DP doesnt understand and stay on board.

Vivki.. Glad Sam's hand was fine. Sounds like sticking with your plan is going to work out pretty fast. I hope I have the patience and strength to deal with it as well as you do when M moves to a BBB.

M fell asleep last night after an A of 10.5 hours and "mostly" sttn (FINALLY!!) He woke at 5:30am soaking wet, so changed him and gave a drink and he went back to sleep until I woke him at 7:00. I never wake him but I needed him to nap today because we have a b-day party to go to this afternoon. I am going to try for a nap at 1:00 but I dont think he will sleep before 1:30 after such a good night. Which is going to make BT about 8:15 tonight and about a 10 hour night. I really HATE nap days :(

Hey Vicki thanks for vibes. I would go with a 7.15 BT, that doesn't mean that Charlie, or Sam would, but I always think if you get it wrong and its too late its worse in the long run than trying early and the WD taking a little longer iykwim.

I really hope he goes down for you.

Thanks mama c for support x

Well I was right, I put M down for his nap, without a bottle :) at 12:50 but he didnt fall asleep until 1:30 exactly. I'll get him up at 2:15 as usual per nap days and try for BT at 8:15. Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll get worn out at the b-day party and go to bed earlier though. That would be nice :)

Mama C, hope that's one exhausting Birthday Party he's going to  ;) Good Luck.

hope I have the patience and strength to deal with it as well as you do when M moves to a BBB.

Thanks for this ^ but my goodness I feel like patience is something I have seriously lacked WRT to the 1-0 more than with anything else.

Hazel,

Agreed for sure  :)

Thanks Ali. for the support  :-*.

Tonight I left Sam at 7.15 on the dot and the party started. He went with 'I want to come downstairs and show you something" also "Mammy are you alright  ??? " (thought that was a very clever one, as I really wanted to answer him  ::)) and then "Don't shut the door" I WI/WO around a twenty times and it only took 6 minutes for him to stay in his room  :) Massive improvement on last night. Pretty sure he is having a bit moan to himself but I think he is in bed as I don't hear him moving around. He was definitely tired enough tonight, we even got an eye rub bang on time as I tucked him in to talk about our day, so FX'd he's asleep soon.

Yesterday and today he has been having very out of character sudden tantrums/melt downs, with tears, and Sam generally doesn't cry tears unless genuinely upset, it's been awful, but they're sporadic and then he has spells of being completely back to his usual self. He has a cold and is cutting molars, but any other ideas  ??? I would think it was tiredness but yesterday he had a 2.5 hour nap and still acted that way in the afternoon.

Praying tomorrow night when DH is home Sam doesn't regress. If so I am going to ask DH to do WI/WO and BEG HIM TO DO IT MY WAY WITH NO CHATTING!!!

X.

Maybe the tantrums are a combination of the teething, the cold and OT? Cadan had a meltdown halfway through his BT story tonight. I think it was OT as his swimming lessons started again today.

I think so too Ali. Don't you just love the sudden melt downs when you have no clue they're on the way  :o
