Thanks Aishi!

Yes, it seems like there have been some major jump in the last 2months. I feel like it was only yesterday she was at 2.5 hrs!

I'm such a "quick fix" type person that waiting days and days for DD to adjust to the longer A times is hard for me! But thank you for the reassurance. Needed! :)

I know what you mean...it's taken me ages to learn to sit back and just watch for a few days and I'm on lo no.2!!! I was getting consistently short pm nap but was already on 3.25hr second a and it took me a month to get the nerve to up to 3h45 which is what she needed! Now I'm capping both naps to get a decent BT lol

Good luck!
aishi :)

If you're at day 7, It may be time to dial your A time back to 3hr20 or so.

Agree, you should see improvement after 3-5 days really. Ty pulling back a touch, and keep Trying to resettle
Honestly I'd also give the w2s a go x

So today went like this:

WU - 6:10
A - 3hrs 20mins
S - 9:30-10:45 (1hr 15mins)
A - 3hrs 17 (put down) asleep at 3hrs 23
S - 2:13-2:47 (35min nap)

Wondering about that 2nd A time. If she gets a good nap, should i keep that second A the same as the first A?

Probably do BT around 5:45/6 again.

For now, yes. Sometimes LO's like the second A time shorter/longer than the first but now you've found a good first A, stick there for a few days and then tweak the next nap.

Out of interest, has she ever napped longer than 1hr15?

yep. but it's not frequent. There was a stretch a few months back of good 1hr 15-1hr 25min naps. She's done a 2.5 hour nap twice while on vacation last month but her nights were awful then so i think she was making up for it.

BTW, she didn't wake up from the 1hr 15min nap very happy. Acted like she needed more sleep, was nursing with eyes closed but didn't go back to sleep.

A time of 3hrs 20 again this am gave me 35mins. Woke crying, flipping to all fours. I gave resettling a try, but there was absolutely no way. Why is this so hard?!

Some days i feel like other moms know something i don't.

Sorry...was going into a woe-is-me for a bit there. I CAN do this!! I AM a good mom! (a little self-talk there :)).

I know i'm not alone, otherwise there wouldn't be a forum. BUt for some reason all the moms in my life have great nappers.

I think it makes it hard too bc she's so fussy when she short naps and needs all my attention...

Hugs, your doing great Hun, some Los sleep better than others. Touchy Los are harder to work out too :-*

what about pulling the second A in just a touch if after 3 days the second 3hr20 gives you 35 mins? Keep that firs one as is...1hr15 min ap is fine at his age ithnk really.

What do you think bec?

That's what i was thinking since shorter second A no matter what length of nap has always seemed to work better for her. (even just 15mins shorter)

Today so far:

WU - 5:50 :(
A - 3hrs 20mins
S - 9:10-9:45 (35mins)
A - 2hrs 20 (she was SUPER tired, cranky as heck, falling asleep on our stroll outside)
S - 12:05-12:35 (30mins) Bummer!!

I was so surprised by this second nap bc she was so tired and settled so easily so i was sure it would be at least an hour nap...wondering if teeth are really causing her more pain today than other days for some reason.

well, i guess we'll have one more nap before BT

DS was a 4-3-2 kiddo at one stage...

I would reckon pulling that second A time a bit shorter may work well for her given she's still pulling short naps...

I wonder if she's struggling with a buildup of OT in which case, maybe a really early bedtime and a long night might help - WDYT?

Well, she went to bed at 5:45 last night and up at 5:50 this am. (but she was up for 45mins or so around 1:30am after i fed her....just staring - what she does when she's OT)

Went to bed tonight again at 5:45 so we'll see how tonight goes

She ended up doing a SUPER short third A time of 1.5 hrs. She was so fussy i couldn't put her down or sit down without her freaking out so i put her in the stroller to get outdoors and she ended up falling asleep so i just let her. Just shows she really did need that short second A.

Might end up trying w2s tomorrow...

Thanks for all the help. I know it'll eventually get sorted.
