Sorry I have forgotten how old your LO is... we are in 2-1 at the moment and (this week!) seem to be having success with capped morning nap, longer pm nap.  It's basically 3hr A, 30 min nap, 3 hr A, 1.5-2hr nap, 4hr A, BT.  For us that means naps at 10am and 1:30pm but with a bit of room to jiggle for swimming, school run when she's with my sister, etc.  We were getting pm nap refusal and this seems the only way to keep 2 naps for now.

She will be 11 months on the 4th.

Yesterday we had a strange one. Morning nap is usually long and it was only 10-11 then I tried for a longer pm nap at 2. She fought and screamed. Finally asleep at 215 woke just before 3 I was able to resettle her to 315 then she went to bed at 710. She has a bit of a cold so she might have woke from am nap early due to that. Last night was better. I heard her coughing at 130 but she ss then a few babbles on and off between 5 - 515 then awake at 610. I try to leave her in her crib till 630 and she seems quiet again. I guess I'm feeling really stressed as the set nap times were making everyone happy and my anxiety was way better. Now it's off the charts and I am having a hard time sleeping. I am scared to do short nap long nap because her pm naps have never been the strong ones. Your brave!

It was just so nice to have a set routine. So I guess what I prob need to do is pick some new times and stick to it? I def want to start pushing out the am nap to avoid ew so today I'm going to try 1015 then maybe a CN at 330-415 then bed at 715/730. How does that sound?

You can only try!  What I found was that even though the am naps were always the best, making the am nap short seems to ensure she will take a proper pm nap.  Otherwise we were having total pm nap refusal about 50% of the time, leaving way too long A time before bed.  I was really reluctant to do short am too but for us so far it has worked, and has allowed us to stay on 2 naps for a bit longer.  Something to keep up your sleeve anyway.
