Men ::)

Huge hugs hun... it's not uncommon for them to nap better at the CMs as they are busy busy busy!

I was hoping you would say she could be rocked to sleep easily ;)  It was (and still is) my first line of defense when things get ugly with naps here... I used it a tonne during the 2-1 as I found DD was so tired that she would struggle to drift off to sleep peacefully at first, she would jolt awake so I would rock her to sleep and hold her until the first few jolts had passed then put her down (only about 10 mins max!).

The transition from 2 naps to 1 is wretched, no question.  Just remember that it can take months for some LOs to make the leap completely. Some have a CN and nap for a few months along the way, others alternate 1 and 2 nap days... etc.  You just have to figure out what works for her and run with it... don't be scared of EBT at all!  Some go down as early as 6pm  and are better for it...

If she was really that knackered, a good APOP nap could well take the edge off of the OT and get her a more restful night :)

If you're brave enough happy, I've put J down at 5.30pm after one rubbish 35 min nap and she did a 13.5h night!  If you can't APOP as Kara says (we can't here either) then might be worth a shot?

Actually it's me being stressed before the problem happens (like always when it comes to her sleep!) - she's actually only had her nap there once so far and it lasted a whole 35 mins, tomorrow is her first full day.  I'm just slightly panicking that's all she'll ever sleep there and we'll end up in a hideous OT spiral...panic, panic, breathe.......

LOL Katherine - you wouldn't be the first to post a "LO not sleeping at nursery" post ;)

Happy - these LOs seem to plot their parent's demise at times hey!?!?  Silly monkey sleeping so well ;)

silly monkey is right!!!!she slept 2hrs 40mins there today!!!!!i mean, come on!!!!!
i'm absolutely dreading friday...although not as much as DH!!!!!but i'm watching v closely for OT signs....i'm thinking i'll aim for a slightly earlier BT tomorrow....she seemed more tired this evening than last....did a 12hour sleep last night....is that enough to keep OT at bay?
K, i'm the exact same as you....i'm waiting for the problems to kick in!!!!

12 hrs is never a bad thing!

I wonder if she has more stimulation at the CM than at home and she just crashes for her nap there because she is super busy??  Not uncommon really,  maybe she just needs a bit more ra-ra-ra at home (or a bit longer of an A time) since you are clearly not as fun as the CM ::)
