For both me and T.
It took over an hour to settle him in the cot :o his total A was almost 4 hrs (I feel sick writing that down)
I hate it. Hate it....I don't know if I can stick with it but we need to.

Please tell me when it will get better. The screaming will break me if it doesn't stop in a few nights

Yes, no signs of discomfort since yesterday. Slept well last night and napped ok today so not OT either. Feeding and eating again and poops normal.

I am doubting myself but his cry wasnt pain, though he got all congested crying and refused the dummy so settled without it so he may have hurt his throat screaming :( ???

He just hates BT :o it's like he is allergic to it!

It isnt funny at all, one can get stressed out by a certain event, it is a kind of overreaction, like allergy!  It is like, the thought of going to bed not knowing if Ds would have yet another NW and EW!!  And also he feels your anxiety!  So if you stay calm and really believe that it will be ok, he will, too.

Are u going cold turkey?  Lots of hugs!  It will get better ;)

Well koe he can go in the cot awake at naps and NW it's just Bt. He fights us in our arms too, even when I know I have his A right he's terrible and it takes forever.  >:( So kind of yes, we hold him till he fights us or is calm then I pd and try to settle in the cot.

When he gets worked up I PU to calm, sing hold a bit then pd.its not PU/pd though, i hold way longer, but  if I don't do that he gets to upset and I worry he will be sick :(

I was talking to DH about it and Z seemed much easier even though he was touchy. But with Z he liked help in the cot, he loved the paci and he let us ap YK?

Night was ok. Asleep 7.20
NW 10.15
NW 3.30-4 with poop
WU. 6.40

Ok today
A 2.5
Nap 9.10-11 (stirred 45)
A 2.5
Nap 1.30-3.30 (stirred 35,45)
A 2.5/2hrs45
Attempted BT at 6.05 - tired but fought till the death!
BT 6.45 (I was much more hands on today as he let me but did fall asleep in cot with shh and pressure) (stirred 45 and 1hr15 so far)

So not bad I guess. :-\ I get so stressed come BT though, it's just awful hearing him cry :'( I just want to snuggle him to sleep but he won't let me anyway :(

Sara I wonder if you need to look at day length a bit - he had two fabulous naps but (obviously watching A times) you aimed for less than a 12h day.  Do you think perhaps he's just not tired enough?  I don't know, just throwing it out there.

Holding your hand... I still remember those bedtimes.

It is worth sticking with it! It was hard work for us but DS has ended up a much more co-operative child at bedtime than a lot of his peers.

We had similar troubles at BT - it was a rare day that it took less than half an hour to settle DD. It slowly got better and for quite a while she went to sleep on her own or with a quick pat - it's not great now but that's because she's needing a major routine overhaul.  I can't know for sure, but I think it did help that we stuck it out with sh/pat for so long.  She did have a paci also when we were sleep training at BT but a few weeks ago she ditched it on her own in favour of sucking a blanket.

DS - November 2014

Katherine, I'm trying to push his A times but he's OT come 3 hrs or appeared to be when I tried BT then 3/4 days ago. We're only at 2.5 hrs or so which makes the day short.
But yesterday did end up 12 hrs I guess didn't it. 6.45-6.45 :-\ mmmmm

Will aim today to push As by 5/0 mins and see how he is. It's may help us get to 12 hrs as long as he naps well ;)

Last night we had 2 feeds again 11,4 I know he only needs 1 but because he's just getting back on track and with this ST I'm trying to get BT sorted then work on NW if they don't adjust n their own, do you think that's ok?

Thanks for the support ladies, we need it :-* nice to hear there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Today's WU 6.45 :D

That sounds like a plan! I think that if you can get a settled day routine the nights will hopefully follow.

Thanks, I'm always wary to wean his NF because I know he cando it himself - we were on 1 NF before the latest reflux and and intolerance flare. When he has these he stops eating so I tank him up at night or literallye will drink 30-60 mls 3 times a day! I'm hoping as he recovers his day will go back to normal and NF reduce to 1 again. I not ill tackle it soon ;)

I am hoping that this
I think that if you can get a settled day routine the nights will hopefully follow.
Will help. We have just ditched the CN so I know that takes time for them to adjust. Plus 5 mths is the pits anyway really ;)
