Well today we started with the set naps and already it has gone pear shaped. Instead of waking at 5:30 the last few days she has been waking between 4:30-5:00 so i feed her and she is going back to sleep until 6:30 / 7:00 usually 6:30/6:40 so today she woke at 6:40 and i tried to get her down for the 1st set nap of 9:30 it took 10mins for her to fall asleep then for the next 20 mins she lay asleep crying trying to get to sleep then was up 20mins later at 10 not really sure if she was even really asleep during that time or just trying to.

Should i still stick to the time we are aiming of 12:45 or do you thing we need to re-look at the times to go for is she is getting up later than she was when we decided those times?

Well the pm nap went ok, she went down at 12:30 - 14:00, she was still tired when she woke up but she was starving. She would normally get her bottle at 13:30 do you think i need to change how i feed her and also change the set nap times?

She was yawning her head off at 16:45 went to bed at 18:00 and woke crying 30mins later so i had to resettle.

She is still really off her food, eating breakfast but refusing all other meals apart from the odd quaver (i know i shouldn't) thats been 10 days now but she is still fine in herself and playing about.

I'd give it a few more days before deciding on any tweaks - as with any routine it will take time to settle into.  Keep us posted and maybe in a few days you might have a better feeling for which way (if any) things need to change?

Well its only the second day but it still isn't going well. Today she went down for her 1st nap at 9:30 ok even though she was yawning at 8:30 and woke up herself after 35mins, i tried to put her down for her 2nd nap at 12:45 and she was absolutly not having it, she was wide awake, standing up and dancing and singing in her cot. I tried for 20mins but she was having none of it. I eventually got her down at 14:10 but she only slept for 35mins again. Then BT was 18:00

I also think i have finally gone mad, even though we havent sussed getting Eva on a good routine and i am shattered and getting no sleep, we have actually started to try for baby no 2, so watch this space. Bet you all think i am mad  :o

Gail, do you think she's ill? Since she's waking vomiting in the early morning?  I may have missed it, but did you take her to the GP?

I know nothing about set naps so I'll just say that she's working through a pile of OT and the really unfortunate thing is that babies just don't take the first opportunity to sleep and make it up, it takes days.  :(

She has vomited 4 times in the past 12days and has had diarrohea for the past 2 days along with a wee and a cough which she has had for months now. But she hasn't eaten any solids apart from the odd 1/4 slice of toast in 2 weeks. We went to the Dr's yesterday and was told that she was fine, she seems totally fine in herself apart from being really tired today, she is still playing and acting normal.

Set naps are so hard especially when i know her am nap was always her best one she would easlily do 1.5/2 hrs i'm just hpoing something will click in and she will start doing that for her 2nd nap.

Thanks honey, i'll keep you all posted x

What should i do about BT tonight should i go 17:30 or earlier as she woke at 5:30 and seems so tired today or still try to keep it to 6pm?

I feel bad as she has been unhappy and tired all day today, not her usual wee happy self.

I'd say its still quite early, and agree with pp that she doesn't sound 100% at the moment.  She may not settle into a routine until she's back to herself xx
