So was he up for the day a 5:30? I would go with the flow today.  I know when my DD doesn't feel well her sleep needs go right up and I just put her down as needed until she's better and goes back to a normal routine.  I don't know if your LO is the same, but yes even if he was healthy I would do 2 naps off an early start.  And not feeling well will just make it harder to push him for that later nap

My DP has a theory that any illness shaves about 6 months off the LOs ages...that might help when trying to figure him out at the moment!
*Anne*, loving mama to a honeybee (2010) and a sweetpea (2012).  BF for 4 proud years.

He went back to sleep until half past 7. I told my dad to play it by ear and see what he's like.

I like that theory! I'm a terrible mama, I quite enjoy it when DD is ill  :-[. That probably sounds awful, and of course I don't want to see her upset or uncomfortable, but just when she has a sniffle or a low fever she's such a great patient!  Usually she's busy busy busy, but when she's sick I get loads of cuddles and loads of sleep!

Hugs for today pinkladyangel, hope he feels ok and gets some good rest

His cold is starting to go now i think. He slept better the last 2 nights. We've had 11 hours straight through. Still a snotty mess but he's happier lol. At the weekend i'm going to push his nap forwards as i'd like his wake up to be nearer 7am. Do you think its to soon after his cold to do it?

I would think it'll be ok if he's happier now and the weekend is still a few days away for him to fully recover :)
