Well after an ish night last night, I went
For a 12.30 nap (admittedly full of dread!!) BUT she went into bed no bother, I left no bother, she chatted for 10mins and then asleep! Woohoo!! Plan to rinse and repeat for 2 more days and then think about pushing out by 15m

For those following along, I did change up the nap routine a bit by recruiting DH to take her up, nap it change by way of distraction re: fact it was nap time. She did ask for me to put her to bed which I did. Tbh, I don't know if the slight distraction or earlier nap did the trick but I just thought it was worth mentioning!

The last 2days naps have gone well BUT with NW/ew

Last 2days:

Sat:
Nap:12.45-2.45( bed at 12.30)
NW:2.30-4amish (can't be completely sure of exactly how long - I was knackered and she was chatting so I left her to it)
BT: 6.50 (asleep 7.20)

Sun:
WU:6.20
Nap:1pm-2.50 (woke self)
Bt:7pm (straight to sleep)

Today:
WU: 4am ???????

She was moaning as tho in pain or trying to get bk to sleep. I left it fur a bit but then out if fear eye was up for the day gave her meds. I don't think she went back to sleep. If she did it was only for a short while as she was definitely awake by 5am. She's still in bed now, waiting for Mr Sunshine (got to love him!)

So I guess 2 Qs - 1. Do I keep Riding it out?

2. Today - what do I do? My inclination is to car nap at 9.30 (capped at 20m) to get through the morning and nap as normal around 1pm with 6.30-7pm BT depending on how's she's coping and naps.

Any thoughts?

hugs Hena, we had an EWing today as well  :(

Could you not just do an earlier nap and an EBT...help her catch up with any OT?

well M used to wake at about 5.30am when we first went to one nap so I did an 11am nap. I would aim for 11/11.30am, let her nap as long as she wants (up to 2.5) hours and then BT around 6.30pm ish based on the nap - what do you think?

Hope she has a better nap/night for you..
we had an AWFUL night...ended up sleeping on the floor beside his crib - only way he would settle after numerous NW and a 4am WU...

Fingers crossed they both work it out soon...

Aaah, big hugs to you both, it's just the pits isn't it??!!??

Bleugh is the right word!! To be fair, it most definitely have been worse given how things have been lately. She mucked about asking for more food etc and any delay tactic you can think of so didn't go to sleep until 12.10 and then had only 1.5h!! Bed at 6.20 and out like a light, let's see what tonight brings!!!

Good luck mamas!!!  :o

How did you do ladies? Shocking night here - bring in the caffeine!!

BT:6.20 (out like a light)
NW: 11.35pm - crying out no no no (meds???)
2-3/3.30 - chatathon (sentences I didn't even know she had!!)
WU: 5.50 (currently practising counting and telling Mr Tunshine (gro clock) off for still bring asleep!!)

I'm trying my best to laugh and make light of the OT ness but I hope to hell this cr@"p passes soon and my angel/textbook girl returns!!!!

Think I'll try the same as yesterday and hope for a longer nap. Though might struggle with 11.30 nap with what we have planned for the morning  ::)

uggh, not fun :(
I would aim for a good nap again like you said and then maybe a BT earlier would work? I can't do EBT's for M but I think they can work for Ruby?
We had a good night but another EWing. I am just going to keep plodding along with the same routine for a few days and see if she sorts herself out. Otherwise I will be posting for help!

Lol! Bless you, feels like such a puzzle doesn't it?!?. Yep, EBT does work for Ruby. Shame about her naps though. As you know I can usually rely on her napping brilliantly to help combat the OT - I know 1.5h is not short for most but here it's not great. Fingers crossed for a 2.5h whopper eh!

Have a good day x
