Yay on the good night. Sounds like a plan. Do you think she could have gotten ot from capping nap? Would it be worth allowing cu nap or wakes herself and same BT if she is still ot?

I did wonder about that, she's always better to
Fix UT than OT. Thing is I wasn't capping she was iykwim? Before the craziness her naps were 2h but I thought with the 6 WU and aiming for 7pm BT that I should cap at 1.5h? Tbh - I don't know what to do

Could you let her sleep as long as she wants and aim for 7 BT?

I could do. I think after such a good night, I'm a but nervous to let her sleep past 2h but if she's still asleep maybe she needs it. Things have been so bad it feels for such a long while, I'm so scared of messing it all up

That's what I was thinking. My original plan was to cap
At 1.5h now that she's had a good nap yesterday and a good night last night?

that is what I would do otherwise you could get into an UT/OT loop. Good luck.

She saved me the decision - started stiring at 2.45 (1.5h mark) calling for me by 3pm!

Becky, I hope things are going well at your end.
And thanks for the support and input Aishi - very much appreciated. Great to have such support when you feel clueless!!!

Fingers crossed for tonight eh!!

Hey ladies.

Well things are greatly improved thanks. Yesterday, she napped 1.5h, bed at 7pm (asleep by 7.15). She was crying 'no no no' at 4.17am - I gave her calpol. She won't let me look In her mouth so I don't know if it's  still molars bothering her but didn't want to risk her staying awake. Anyway, pretty much back to sleep
Straight away and awake at 6am.

Today she napped 2h (1.20-3.20) and had to be woken
- in think perhaps on account of the longer morning? Anyway, put to bed at 7.05 and I think she's asleep now (7.10). I'm not sure whether letting her have 2h was a good idea or not. My thinking is to allow her 2h if she needs it and see how works with NTS for the rest of this week. If it's cutting into her night, to start pushing the nap out to 1.30 and cutting it to 1h45m/30m depending on how R responds.

What do you reckon?

Sounds like a plan hon.

Dk if this helps cos my dd is only 23mo but since getting back on track after canines she's gone back to her old routine. I'm not capping naps or waking in am and as long as I get a times right she seems to be SR her total sleep needs...so she has been doing 1.5 nap and 12h nights and yesterday and today 2, 2.5h nap respectively and 12 h night again last night....she is HSN tho and ive found waking her always leads to ot...

Is R HSN? Dyt this approach could work with her? I'm just thinking that if she's getting over ot capping may prolong the ot?

Tbh, I don't know if she's HSN - I've always thought she's slept well on the whole?? I try not to cap with R unless I really have to because she does get OT easily and does not handle it well.

Its difficult to decide isn't it? Well if she has a bad night after you capped nap yesterday you could see how she gets on without capping? Fxd for a good night tho xx

Bugger, bugger, bugger!!

She was shouting out 'no leave it' at 4.30, didn't sound distressed so I left her to it. By 5am it was apparent that she was awake - moaning so
I gave her meds (I feel like I give them to her willy nilly at night out of fear she won't go back to
Sleep - can't be good?) all quiet for a bit but 5.30 and she's still awake. Bit of chat (not wide awake animated chat) followed by silence???

She seems to wake (even if it's briefly) around the same time -  between 4.15&4.30- habitual? Or is this the result of yesterday's 2h nap she had to
Be woken from?

It's 5.40am and I'm not sure she's going to go
Back to sleep  :'(
