Crying before sleep today
« on: August 05, 2014, 23:29:41 pm »
Tiday lo wouldn't go down for nap he cried and fussed which he never does and woke after 30 mins! I put him to bed at 7 instead of his usuall 745 ish and he cried hysterical so I went in to calm him and give him some Tylenol as molars are coming in. Could that be the cause of his crying and bad nap or maybe he was just over tired tonight befire bed being that he only took a 30 min nap? Yikes he was doibg so well with the transition to one 2 hr nap

Probably just a combo of teeth and ot - molars were always the worst for DD1.

I agree. If he doesn't nap you may need to go for an earlier BT, say no later than 6.30'if your usual BT at 7.45pm. The hysterics at BT was probably OT x

Why is lo only doing a 1 hour-1.5 hour nap when he was doing 2 hr for a while? I know his molars are coming in but could that shorten nap? His night sleep is sound. I will put him to bed about 30 mins earlier at night but he just wakes earlier in am.

How old is he? Sometimes it is hard (or impossible!) to figure out the reasons for these things - could be teeth or just development and needing a bit less sleep.

He's 13 months. He keeps waking earlier every day! Should I try putting him to bed later?

I would try a bit earlier nap for sure, but keeping in mind if it is down to teeth it may not solve it!

I've been trying earlier nap , later nap , earlier bt and later bt and he keeps waking up earlier in the morning and the most bed doibg at nap is 1 hr- 1 hr 20 mins. For a while he would wake at 730 nsp from 1230-230 and bed 730 it was great!! Don't know what happeved! Today he was up 645 so I'm going to try nap at 12 instead of 1230 just hope he eats his lunch that earlier. The other molar finally cut through. He's been so cranky and fussy snd not himself :( do you think he needs less sleep or possibly ot or just his teeth.

So he was up today aroubd 645 I put him down for nap at 12 asleep by 1210 but he wakes at every nap hysterical at 1 hr 15-20 mins and it takes him a good 30 mins or more to stop crying it's awful. So today he woke from nap at 130. What time should I put him to bed?

Would he do an ebt of 6:30? Honestly at this age it could be any one of a number of things affecting him (though teeth or growth spurt are more likely as there are one year molars and a growth spurt usually at age one).

Poor baby cried for an hour! And even now is pretty cranky. I've been giving him Tylenol too! He's been up since 130 so a 5 hour a time would be 630 I guess I can give it a shot. But I wonder why he's waking earlier every morning and why he's waking hysterical from nap every day.
