Good luck, sounds like good progress! I think it's totally normal for naps to take longer to come back than bedtime.

What a does her day look like, Heather? I know you don't think she's ready to drop the nap yet, but do you think it needs tweaking at all? Like, would a tad later nap help her to settle better? I'd give it another week of being consistent, but if she's fighting the nap still at that point, you might need to look at another angle. :-\

well what is interesting is that at preschool (on T/TH) they start resting at 1230 and she always falls asleep!!! so that is pretty early for a nap?

it is getting a little bit better, as in she is not crying as much when i leave.  last couple of days  she will fall asleep on me (which i don't mind) and then when i put her to bed she will wake up a little and want me to "pack her back" then she whines a little and i leave and she may whine/cry for less than a minute then she falls asleep.  even if she doesn't fall asleep on me, she does the same thing.

She is not my most snuggly kid so i take what i can get :)

in all honestly, i have not been very consistent getting her up at the same time every day , not sure it matters too much, bc i push her nap back/forward as needed.  she will sleep in for me often which is nice....

Hi Heather,

That is interesting that she is settling well for an earlier nap and BT has got better. This is something many of us have done successfully during the 1-0 transition, as LO's need that extra A time to settle better at BT. I still think that she has entered the 1-0, but it is such along transition for many LO's, that I am not saying she is ready to drop the nap at all, just that she has probably started the journey, which can be very long and drawn out, and for us it took months.

Very pleased for you and DD that things have improved :) x.

Sounds good. Sometimes you need to take what you can get! ;)
