When Tyler only ate finger foods, I'd steam up a batch of veggies, cut them up, then freeze on a cookie sheet lined with freezer paper. I'd either drop them on the sheet in meal-sized portions or spread them out on the sheet so they wouldn't freeze in a clump and I could just use what I needed later. After they were frozen, I'd put them in a ziploc bag and keep them in the freezer to use later. I remember doing a lot of broccoli, carrots, zucchini, and other veggies. I'd also cut up soft, ripe fruit and do the same thing. If you've introduced pasta, you can also freeze plain cooked pasta.
